After having serious issues with balancing my checkbook over the past several months, I finally requested a detailed transaction history from my bank. I was able to trace the problem to a company called WLI Reservation Rewards that apparently sells coupons.
Over the course of the past few months, they have been charging my account with $9 debits several times each month. I have no idea how they got my info, but no one in their right mind would reorder so many copies of the same coupon book, so clearly this is some sort of scam.
I tried to contact the company, but the phone number provided on their website just hangs up on you if you try to connect to customer service. Fortunately, my bank is good about fraud protection and is pursuing getting my money back. I'm not sure if I have any legal recourse, but will definitely be speaking to my lawyer about it.
