Ripoff

In Dec. 2005 I received a postcare stating that I was eligible for a $5000 grant. The fee was $299.90 for the process. Since I had been researching ways to obtain grants to start a home day care, I thought I was finally getting somewhere.

On Feb. 3 I made the payment through a bank debit (I've been since change that card #). I received info back pertaining a Grant Seminar in North Carolina from July which I had actually attended. I called the 866 # and informed them that I had attended that conference and the info that they sent to me I was already aware of. I was told I would receive something by the end of July.

When I didn't not receive anything I called first thing Monday Morning July 31st to find out that all the numbers have been disconnected or not availble from my calling area. Then I decided to check the web site and fould out about the ripoff.

I am so unhappy because I was looking to start my daycare by the time school start and they knew my intentions and I feel like I just can't trust anything on the web any more.
