Evicted with 2 year old baby for needing the help of the police

I lived in Thornton Court Apartments for almost a year. If I was ever going to be late on my rent for any reason, I made sure I called and asked if it was ok. I was only late twice and both times Mr. Drury said that it was okay as long as I paid the late fee.

My 2 year old son learned to open doors and unlocked my front door @ 3am and went into the breezeway. A neighbor called the police. The police came just as I heard the baby outside my door. The next day Mr. Drury informed me that if I ever had the police over there again that I would be evicted.

My abusive ex came over uninvited several months later and I called the police because he would not leave. I begged the cops not to send an officer to my house, but to just let me file a report (he had left when I called 911) so I could get a restraining order. They came anyway. And then came the eviction papers.

Mr. Drury called me the next morning YELLING at me that he didn't care why they were there, but that he wanted me to leave. The police who came that night said there was no way he could evict me for needing the help of the police. Well he did. He took me to eviction court and I had SEVEN days to get out and find somewhere for my 2 year old son and I to go. He is a dirtbag and I hope someone who was thinking about renting from him reads this and realizes he is SCUM!
