Progressive Office Products Ripoff Fraudelent Sales And Outrageous Billing

I was contacted by a sales representative on the phone at work. I didn't get her name. She told me that she was calling from our toner supplier and that they were going to raise the price of the toner from 349.00 to 400 something, but were willing to sell it to us at the original price if we odered it now the same day. Not knowing anything about ordering and the price of the toners, and since the person who orders office supplies wasn't at the office that day, I agreed to sign and fax back the order confirmation form that the sales representative faxed me.

When the person responsible for ordering office supplies found out, she told me that she never heard of this company before, and said that it wasn't the same company that we always get our supplies from. Also, we usually get our toners for 5.00, not 349.00. They also charged us 48.86 for shipping.

The fact of the matter is that I was lied to (she said she was from our toner supplier, which was not true) and was made to believe that they were raising the price so I should place the order immediately to lock in the old price. I did some research on this company (IDCSERVCO) and found out a lot of information (mostly at usacomplaints.com) about them. They've been doing this scam since at least 2002 and countless companies have been scammed.

My company has not paid the invoice yet. I'm going to call them and see if I can return the toner at their expense.
