Ripoff, took an electronic check and bounced it fraudulently & ruined my banking

I purchased a purse at Leather Town, Santa Ana, CA. Corporate is at 12860 Foothill Blvd., Sylmar, CA 91342. I wrote a check. Without the clerk telling me until after I wrote the check, she then told me it was going to be an immediate electronic withdrawal. She ran my check through a machine, gave me the check back and my receipt. Somewhere along the line, they messed-up. A week later I get a notice in the mail from a collection agency with a $25 additional charge. No one contacted me. There was way more than a sufficient balance to cover $26.93 and when I called instead of the manager trying to help me he yelled at me and hung up on me.

I spent an hour shopping and when I wrote them a check, my check was rejected. As an accountant I am totally humilliated and burned when my banking is messed up for no reason at all. This business has totally no business sense at all. I don't even like the purse and have no used for it. And I am willing to give them their money, but they are not even reasonable enough to take care of this matter. A TOTAL RIP OFF.
