ChecxSystems never offered me a chance to buy back a returned check. Ripoff

My daughter and I were in the process of moveing and had rented a truck from U-Haul and was settling our bill after returning the truck. The amount of the bill was more than we had expected so we did not have enough chash with us to pay in full. I asked if I could write a check and the man said yes so I wrote him a check for the balance.

I wrote a cell phone number on the check as we did not have a phone at our new appartment yet. A short time later my bank informed me by mail that my check had been returned un paid. I imediately went to U-Haul and offered to buy back my check. I was told that I would have to call Checxsystems to make arrangements to buy back my check.

I called the number that he gave me but it was always busy. I sent them an email which they never responded to. They have kept me from changing to a better account at my bank because that check keeps showing up on the banks inquiries into my banking history.

Since it has been over two years since I wrote that check I called the District Attorney's office check devision to see if it had been turned over to them so I could buy it back and clear my banking history but it has not been turned over to them.

I also had to find out if there was a warrant out for my arrest over this check. Having that check out there has made me a nervous wreck and I worry if I am going to be arrested at any moment because I have not taken care of it.
