AKA Metropolitacn Telecommunications ripped off and left without an answe

I made a payment of $99 to my January phone bill and one week later receieved my February bill stating that I had a credit of 409.62 the explanation the bill simply said: Telephone service credit from 12/10/99-2/08/02. I called customer service (I documented the date, time, and name of the rep that I spoke to.) I was informed that customers had been being over charged from 1999 and I was one of them that is why I received a credit. He told me that I should not make any more payments until the credit was gone.

My March bill reflected the credit minus the amount of the bill.in April I called mettel to find how much credit I had left. (The bill hadnt come yet) I was told that my phone was scheduled to be shut off for non payment of the Feb and March bill in addition the April bill was due May 2nd. Now by bills are late and behind and my service is scheduled for shut off without as much as a call or letter.

I called METTEL and spoke to a rep who accused me of trying to cheat the phone company. It was not until after I told her about the first converstation and gave her the name, date, and time of the original call that she said she would investiage and call me back. I never got a call back. When I called the next week I was told that they credited the wrong account by accident and the bill must be paid. I was allowed a 7 day extension. I have no way of knowing if someone caught on to what the original rep told me and tried to cover it up or what. When were they going to let me know that a mistake was made? I have yet to receive an apology and I don't know what the truth is. It's one reps word against the next.
