Ripoff

I contacted this office reference, rataining this Attorney for assisting me in quashing a Patently false Restraining Order issued against me. I spoke to him for 10 minutes and provided him with over 30 pages of documentation on my behalf. I paided him a $500.00 retainer fee and the plaintiff did not show up to a court proceeding due to a clerical error. This attroney was clearly preparing for my hearing at the courthouse and it was obvious he had not reviewed my documentation.

Furthermore, once a second order was issued against me (due to the fact the first one was thrown out for the plaintiff not attending) and i advised him the attroney " he stated I'm not availiable for another hearing how about i refer you to another attorney. This obvious lack of professionalism is unbelievable as if i wanna pay another $500.00 retainer fee to another attorney. After representing myself, I reveieved another bill for $125.00 and was advised it was for case prepartion and the time I spoke with the attorney.

I politely wrote the attorney a letter requesting he quash my remaining balance and he stated " Make payment on account within 30 days (legal demand). The attorney stated also in his letter that he had to drive to Lake Havasu City, Arizona for my case. He has an Office in Lake Havasu City and it's only 30 minutes away. The attroney stated he met with me after court and did not charge me for his time. I can only recall him leaving after the plaintiff did not show up and i had to go secure my own order aginst this crzy neightbor lady without him. The attroney stated that due to his motion the matter was dismissed in my favor which is not true the judge throws out all orders for hte most part if a party fails to shop up furthermore, this matter is still ongoing as im in the appeals process and both me and the other party have orders against each other. I felt completely ripped off and don't know what options i have or any other recourse available to me.
