Westchase Apartments ripoff unsafe environment

I moved into this "gated" community about one year ago. Every night there was some sort of criminal activity. Police there all the time, security making arrests, car break-ins. Not only is this gated community unsafe but the gates broke a long time ago so any and everybody can get in. The tenants there are mostly criminals, now there is a background check, but the tenants let their criminal freinds live with them. At night people lay all over peoples cars, check inside of them and see if they are locked or not. The grounds during the night look like a bomb went off, trash everywhere, people use the pool as their bathroom, and the garbage has been known to pile up outside for weeks, attracting rats and mice and all sorts of wildlife (the news did a report on it). Keeping that in mind, the complex actually tried to fine tenants for leavin garbage outside their apts. Where else was it supposed to go. Kids would threaten to either shoot you or have someone else shoot you (or pets). We were told that it is their responsibility to protect us or our property, just the grounds. I paid rent one month, and my check was stolen out of the rent box, and that person Michael Massey used it to open over 2000 dollars in accounts. Not only would the complx do nothing they served me with an eviction notice for something I did not even know about yet. The lee county sheriff did nothing either, I had his name, apartment, and the recorded calls that he used my check for, he even messed up and gave his address in one of the calls. The calls also came up on the businesses caller id and still no result. It is also section 8 housing, something we were not told, so it was almost expected that crime was running rampant. It is not like they do nt know it is bad, they hired ex-military as security. However they will look at you and say we are not aware of these problems!!!
