Scammed

October:

One evening I was taking a nap when I got a phone call.
It was someone from Advantage America Grant Department.
The gentleman's name was Anto Thomas. He told me I was eligible for a grant for $12,500. I thought my prayers were answered when this call came. He asked me what I was going to do with it. Go to school, pay bills, or something else I can't remember.

I told him I'd use the money to pay bills. He said fine. Then he told me that this money would be received every year if I wanted, but I told him that I wanted the money only for this year.

As the conversation went on, Mr. Thomas asked me what the name of my bank was, what my routing number was. Before that, he read off my bank account number.

At the end of the conversation, Mr. Thomas gave me a grant ID#: 10302635. Then he told me that someone from their Verification Department would contact me. His name is Alfred. I waited for about a month, then I sent a letter to this establishment to ask when I was getting my money. I have not heard from them.

That was three weeks ago. I thought this could be a scam, so I checked the internet to see if this is legit. Apparently, it's not. This place is used to get people's information to steal.

I hope this place and the people in there will be punished.
