Extended Service Plan credit back ripoff Columbus Ohio

In October I bought a 42" Toshiba HDTV from Hhgregg in Columbus, Ohio (location was closed later, but other Hhgregg stores are still in town).

The sale representative convinced me to also get a 3 year extended service plan (ESP) for $299.99. The main selling point (and the only reason I accepted to get this plan) was that I will be getting a full refund (as in store credit) at the end of 3 years if I don't use the policy.

I quote from the back of my receipt, under "Extended Service Protection Policy":
"In store credit (no cash refunds) will be issued to the original purchaser of the policy towards next purchase if no claims (i.E. Checkups, repairs or loaners) have been made against policy. Credit must be requested and redeemed within 6 months of the policy expiration".

November. Since I did not use the ESP I went to a Hhgregg store to get the promised $299.99 in store credit. The customer service representative told me that there is no such thing as credit back. She also called her manager, he made some calls he told me the same thing. No credit back on my 3 year policy (but they do have credit back on some 5 year policies???).

In conclusion:
The store denied my claim for $299.99 in store credit.

I don't how they can do this. It's something I was promissed verbally when I bought the TV. More important, the credit back provision is stated so clearly on my receipt. There are no fine prints or asterisks or anything that says the provision does not apply to my 3 year Extended Service Plan.
