Not honoring the store's policy

I recently purchased 2 items at HHGregg. They were identical items costing 252.77 each. The total price was 540.93. I called ahead to see if the items were in stock and was told they were. I drove 40 minutes and found out that they were at the Brooke Park warehouse. I purchased the items and went to my next destination. This store had the identical item for $147. HHGregg advertises they will double the difference in price from what they charged you and what another store has. The other store is a large chain store that had several of this item in stock, boxed, containing a warranty and within a 30 mile radius.

HHGregg states that the other item must be in a box in stock and all warranties appling. They also state it can't be one of a kind which the item was not. On the way back to the HHGregg store I got a message from the store saying they made a mistake the item was not in stock. It was at their Michigan wharehouse. I return to the store and let them know about the other stores price and give them the phone number to call and verify. The manager goes in the back and comes back and said I was mistaked the competitors price was $247 not $147. I stated I was just there and matched up all the model numbers. I go to the car and get my cell phone and call the competitor they agin match the model numbers and the price of $147.

I put the representative from HHGregg on the line to verify they state that they can/t confirm where I called I showed them my caller I. D Another manager comes up and tells me I mistaken and before they would give that mutch of a discount he would drive mwe to the store to prove mysel. He basicaly called me a liar. They call another store and say they were told to call back they try another and get the price of $147 and that was only because it was scratch and dent.

I called the store back with the manager and the store did reply that $147 was the price and it was not for scratch and dent they had them in a box. The Manager off HHFregg said I'm getting conflicting info so I am not going to honor their price or the double back besides we already credited your card. I stated I had not signed any return and that is not the way to do business. The manager of HHGregg said that their competitor is only doing that because they will not be carrying that item any more and so there for is being considered clearance and they don't have to honor it. I asked were it states any of this, and he said that' the way it is. HHGRegg's policy does not state this.

So if you want to be mislead and called a liar HHgregg is the place to shop.
