Dobles Auto Group
Ripoff, They refused to honor a written contract

Miscellaneous

I had been to Dobles looking at one line of Suvs that they sell. These are high end vehicles (HUMMER) and the manager told me that they do not discount them, nor does the only other dealer in the area. The markup on the more expensive H2 is about $5000.00 over invoice.
On the internet I found a dealer who was willing to sell the vehicle for $1500.00 over invoice (a $3500.00 savings)
I didn't believe that Dobles would offer that, but I went there to look because they had exactly the vehicle I wanted.

The salesman talked with me and without negotiating, he offered me a great deal which I agreed to. A standard Dobles contract was written and signed with understanding that I would return the following day with a bank check to pick up the vehicle.

Next morning the Hummer manager (who I thought I had built up a great rapport with) called me. He was angry and stated that they would not sell me the vehicle at the agreed price. He ststed that I was told that they would sell at retail, and I asked why his salesman had given me a WRITTEN contract. He (Mr. Marston) said that it didn't matter and that he had "talked with the owner". No deal
