Vehicle locate fiasco

If this dealer offers to locate a vehicle for you DON'T DO IT. They will take your money and then leave you hanging. Other dealers will it do this service for no upfront fees.

This dealer offered to do a vehicle locate "contract" for me. The dealer said they needed a minimum of $500 down and was written up the beginning of January. I received 1 phone call the following week about a vehicle, that of course was much more than we agreed upon, and that was the last phone call I received.
I called up to cancel the contract in the end of february after not hearing anything from this dealer for almost 2 months, and was convinced by the dealer that they could find me a vehicle.

I stopped in person to cancel the contract 3 weeks later after receiving no phone calls and was told the general manager who signs the checks was not in but they would send it.

2 weeks later I still have no check.
