Ripoff of senior citizen with medically bad credit wanting a Mastercard

On 1/27/05 I was initially contacted by Dorthy Summers, Company ID #83068, via phone and promised a Mastercard credit card, so I foolishly gave her my checking account number and was told they would be dibiting my account in the amount or $369.00 and they would follow up with the Mastercard, which would have a $2500 credit limit, which could be increased periodically.

What I received was a bunch of stuff regarding their Tavel Blub, which I can't use and therefore, not interested in. There was an application form enclosed for a mastercard credit card, whichwas useless, since it could only be used for Centric products and an extremely high shipping and handling rate.

Shortly after receiving their worthless travel junk, I closed my checking account so they and others could not get bak into it to further debit my account without my knowledge.

I called their 800 number and was told "sorry, we do not give refunds". I subsequently sent a letter (2/11/05) via Certified Mail requesting a refund. They did not accept letter.

I'm a 62 year old disabled woman who lives only on Social Security Disability and certainly can not afford to be ripped off monetarily. The lose of $369.00 for nothing in return is a very large deficit for me.

I pray this complaint can possibly/hopefully help get my money back from Centric Group in Las Vegas (or any other location they may have moved to or are working out of).
