Ripoff Deadbeat dad! Abandoned his son! Liar and manipulator!

Rich Thompson is a deadbeat if there ever was one! He has had court ordered visitation since Jan. and has not called once to see about having visits with his son.

His original order for child support was for $1186.00 a month. His sons mother agreed that this amount was excessive, and agreed to have it lowered to $686.00 per month. Then, Rich married the woman he is with now (she has a litter of her own children) he can't afford to take care of the child he has, yet he is willing to take on his wife's 5 children.

In July of last year, he drug his sons mother back into court to have his child support adjusted AGAIN! She paid her atty., and to court they went! They lowered his child support by $40 some odd dollars a month (now was it really worth paying an atty. All of that money, plus travel expenses, and time off of work for that???) She had to pay to travel to another state to go to court, and it cost her a ton of money.

Then Rich makes a big stink about wanting visitation with his ONLY son. They came up with a visitation agreement that everyone was okay with. That was JULY! It is now May of the following year, and she has yet to hear a word from him! He has not seen his son in over 2 years, and their son just turned 3.

Rich no longer is on speaking terms with his mother, because his mother and his sons mother have a good relationship, and she allows her to come down and visit with her grandbaby whenever she wants to. She gives Rich a $100.00 a month credit every month that is supposed to go towards traveling expenses for his visitation. Needless to say, he has no interest in seeing his son, so it is like a free pass for him.

Currently he is $5,000.00 behind in his child support payments, and owes close to $2,000.00 towards their sons medical expenses.

Rich and his wife work for Remax Results Plus in Cincinnati, Ohio. They are referred to as Team Thompson. They just went out and bought 2 brand new cars, yet he wont pay his child support. Rich doesn't call to check on Jayce, nor does he write. Even though he shows no interest in their son, she still emails him pics every few weeks anyways. At least that way, it can never be said that she didn't try to keep him involved in their sons life.

She is now engaged to a WONDERFUL man who is the only "Daddy" their son has ever known. She asked Rich at one point to allow her fiance to adopt thier son once they got married and she was told that if she gave him $20,000.00 he would sign over his rights. What kind of a man acts this way??? She has shown their son pics of Rich, and he has NO idea who he is.

It truly is a sad situation. However, to look at their son, you wouldn't know that he is missing out on anything, because if the truth be known, he isn't. Their son is better off without him around. He is VERY much so loved in their home, and doesn't have a clue that he has been abandoned by his own Biological father. I hope he never feels any kind of pain knowing that his bio-dad walked away from him.

Rich was interested in his son until he married his current wife. Now, he wants nothing to do with him. From what I have been told, it has alot to do with her. She doesn't want a constant reminder of the bio mom running around her house during visits... His loss not his mommy's!

Rich has had his Ohio state driver's license and real estate license suspended in the past for failure to pay court ordered child support. He is a DEADBEAT in every sense of the word.

What goes around comes around, and Rich will have to answer to our son eventually. I just thank God that the bio mom has the stregth to love her son enough that he doens't know that something or somone is missing in his life!!!
