Ingersol Rand bought trane in early 2000 and ever since customer service and dealer partnership have sucked. They have a program for supposed top notch dealers called trane comfort specialist my family business was part of this from 2000 till 2013. Trane could care less about the training requirements and care all about the 12,000 a year they get from each dealer to get this status, some dealers are not even a member of the b.B.B. Home Depot and lowes dealers can be some of the worst they been recruited by Trane as brand new dealers in most situation depending on trane warehouse leads for there survival. When we started asking questions we were told if you don't like it hit the road!!! So thats exactly what I did after 40 years of being trane advocate we are now Bryant dealers and they stand with there dealers and customers that's all we want.
