Express Shipping Apparently Means Neve

I've ordered a package from a US company and eagerly followed the tracking of it, as i paid a helluva lot of money for express shipment and expected it in the time promised. Everything was going smoothly until it ended up in South Africa and for two weeks straight i got "clearance delayed" messages. I took this as Christmas bulk and public holidays and whatever the case may be, but got a little ticked off when it got to the new year and still clearance delays...
I contacted the company in US and they revealed to me that it is a local DHL problem and I need to contact them instead, which I did after phoning the wrong place four times, seeing as there are NO contact details anywhere on any site. ONLY to find out that if i didn't my package of thousands of rands would NEVER have gotten to me, as DHL would not have contacted ME! Thank you DHL for letting your customers know they need to smell when and where they need to contact YOU for THEIR stuff.
I am a very easy going person... But this just really upset me. For 2-3days as advertised, three weeks is just ridiculous!
