The Oregonian
Digital "O" problems on a Mac

Miscellaneous

While I was not (and still am not) thrilled with your decision to stop home delivery of The Oregonian, I decided to give your digital version a try. It is fairly easy to navigate, but it's hard scrolling all over the page to cover a story, since my monitor, while large, isn't as large as the newspaper. My complaint (and it is a HUGE one) is that your format isn't Mac compatible. Whenever I try to print an article, obit, or crossword puzzle on my new iMac, a small window opens and shows me a tiny section of what I want. It says "loading" in the upper left corner, but nothing happens. None of the buttons (zoom, print, save, etc.) work at all. The system seems to work on a PC, but I don't have a PC, nor do I intend to get one. Is this a fatal flaw with your program? Will I never be able to print anything from your paper on my Mac? Are you aware of the problem and trying to fix it (or do you even care that Mac users can't print)? Will I have to refuse to continue my subscription?
