Nightmare gto

Purchased a 1968 gto in march of this year (sold my 1969 Chevelle ss to buy this vehicle), what was going to be a dream summer turned out to be a nightmare which I haven't woke up yet, Mr. Starke said it was a number matching vehicle complete restoration with no problems. I asked him if it had a clear title and his answer was yes, I received the vehicle at the end of April and the nightmare started several problems with the car the most important was the ticking noise from the engine called Starke and advised him of the problems and his answer was it didn't leave his shop with any problems (must have been the gremlins in the shipping truck), I have been a service manager for a gm dealership since 1971 and can tell you it did leave his shop with these problems I asked him if he was willing to buy the car back if I found any other problems and his answer was a no I am not going to buy it back (he found a pasty to buy it why should he well shame on me) he said the engine still was under warranty find out what the noise was and he would have the company that rebuilt the engine send me the parts to fix it. At that point I still didn't have the title I asked Starke again for it I finally received the title with a little sticky note in the lower left corner of the title don't known what made me remove the sticky note to find the words salvage title from the state of N.J. Called the department of transportation of Wisconsin they investigated and advised Mr. Starke to buy the vehicle back (hew tried to say it was his personal vehicle and by law he was right called the Pontiac car club of N.J. And asked by any chance did someone known the car got my answer someone who works for the dmv know the vehicle it was totaled in 1983 by fire the department of transportation of Wisconsin made Mr. Starke have the car shipped back to him and give me my money back well he has the car back but I have no money yet (going on seven month now) now Stake sai that there was $3,600.00 dollars of damage done to the vehicle while I had it (those gremlins again must have done the damage because he got the car back in the same condition I got it and I only put about 25 miles on the car. Found out the engine noise was collapsed lifters and possible camshaft... That my story and sticking to it need help buyer beware..
