I booked a hotel reservation through galahotels.com. They sent me a confirmation and a receipt, and charged my credit card for the total cost of the stay. When I arrived at the hotel, they had no record of any booking and hadn't received the payment. The hotel contacted galahotels.com, who said they had made the booking in error and claimed that they notified me that they had cancelled the reservation (they certainly did not).in the meantime, I could not reach them by phone (the calls "disconnected" every time I asked to speak to a manager) and they charged my credit card, but no refund has been credited. I have requested to contest the charge with my credit card company, but am told the process can take months!
