Unknown card charge, request for Social Security number

There has been a charge on my credit card that I did not authorize and have no knowledge of. Is this some kind of scam? I received a note in my Facebook inbox saying that my account will be blocked if I do not update it, because I supposedly posted something annoying on Facebook. Honestly, I did not post anything that violates Facebook policy.

I was asked to give all my information, including my social security number, birthday and credit card number. To my knowledge, I did not purchase anything on Facebook.
