Yesterday I received a call from (206) 249-7273 saying I had received a US Federal Grant for $8000.00. All I had to do was go to a Money Gram store and send $220.00 plus a processing fee of $11.00 to pay a one time fee and I would get my money by 9:00pm central time. The total I would receive $8231.00. I, of course called my bank last night at 9, and the money was not there. I called the call back number this morning and its just a recording. I know I got scammed, my husband and I don't even have enough to pay our electric bill, I can't believe there are people in the world that would do this to people. I am crying so hard right know. I'm sooo stupid, my husband always says, "if it sounds to good to be true, something is up". I was trying so hard to help us out and I wanted to surprise him, so I didn't tell him about the transaction. Now I have to call my husband, who works nights, that I lost our money... We have $10.00 in checking right now. Please, if I can help one person out there, if you get a call like this... Call the police, go to the police or just don't believe these people. I wish I would have researched this before I did it, but I have read a lot of these same things happening to a lot of people out there. I was desperate, I thought God had answered my prayers. I was wrong!!!
People, do your homework, don't do like me and all these other people out there that got screwed.
