Preston Financial scam ripoff stole identity

On 5-22-08 my wife and myself (craig w) talked to evelyn scott regarding us getting a loan for $5000 she said the loan was approved - but we had to send six months in advance because of our credit history, we took all our funds out of our bank account $980.00 ms. Scott called back later and gave us the information to who and where to send the money to in canada - there were a lot of warning signs but, we were so desperate to get out of debt and caught up on our mortgage we looked over them. Such as, why they did not ask where we work at or a pay stub.

I also called charleston s.C. And the operator stated that there was no company listed at the address that was on the phone and that there was no such address but, out of desperation we sent the money that morning anyway. Then around 5:00pm mr. Marshall called my husband and stated that there was a problem with the loan because of our credit history and, that he wanted us to send another $980 which we did not had then we smelt a rat i really do believe that if we had another $980 we may have sent it but, my husband fussed back and forth with him for about thirty minutes. My husband told him to send our money back he said he would around the 23rd of this month but, we know that was not going to happen. Now when we call that number of theres there is no answer it sounds as if the phone has been cut off. My husband talked to the canadian police officers and, they told us it was a scam going on and that they have caught up with some of the people.

We know we will never see that money again but, if there is anyone out there that can help us in anyway to prosecute the people and/or tell us what to do i would love to see justice brought against these fraudulent people. They need to be ashame of themselves taking advantage of innocent hard working people. I feel so bad for everyone this have happened to i was also depressed for a while but, i beleive in god - he sent his angels down to comfort me. I just pray that these people get caught and, they can not hurt anyone else again may god bless each and everyone of you - c. W
