Government Grant Processing Center In Las Vegas, ripoff

11/16/04 At 6:15pm an individual with a very thick Indian accent, called from the "Government Grant Processing Center", in Las Vegas and said that the Government had approved my husband for a $8000.00 grant. He actually had my husband's name and address. He also said that "I" also qualify for an $8000 grant of my own, woo weee! He basically repeated the same information several times to me about this grant. He asked me some questions like: Had I ever filed for bankruptcy, do I have a checking account.

He then asked me to hold on and he would transfer me to a customer service associate who would give me a confirmation number and a 1-800 number. I asked him, when I could finally get a word in, How did he get our information, he said it was based on our "need" for assistance, I told him that we never applied for any grants and that I am very skeptical of him calling me out of the blue to offer me $8000. I too knew something was wrong, since the guy could hardly speak English and kept saying HUH? When I tried to ask him a question.

I also know that our government does'nt call you up to give you money you didn't even apply for. I feel sorry for anyone who forks over their money and believes this bullshit.

I decided to check this out on the internet which led me to this site. This guy is supposed to call me back tomorrow, (I told him I wanted a number to call him back, well surprise, he would'nt give me one.) I'll have my recorder ready for this AHOLE.
