"Mary" sent a cashiers check for $2900 to purchase my parents piano for $1300 because she was "buying it for her church". Since the "moving people" were picking up numerous things from different locations (for the church), they asked that we send $1600 via Western Union to Lari Raverty in Sun Valley, NV.

The bank verified today that the cashiers check was bogus.

There does appear to be a Lari Raverty in Sun Valley, NV.

There is also a Mike Zsinko on Facebook that is from Hungary, currently living in Ohio. The emails that my parents got were obviously from someone whose native language is not English.
