I didn? T sign up for any financial advisory. I was searching for colleges and I was looking for grants. I filled in the fafsa application to see what I would qualify for. That is all I did. So when I realized I was getting this charge for some kind of financial assistance I called the company to find out what the charge was for and the customer service representative told me that there is a 10 day trial period, after that your card will be charged. I said I didn? T sign up for this service, I don? T know what this service is. She proceeded to tell me that I need to be more cautious when putting my credit card on the internet. I said there is no way I put my card information on the internet and I am very cautious. She would not even let me talk she told me that they have proof that I agreed to the service. I told her how could she charge me for something that I have not even used for four months. She said they have no way of accessing if I went online or not. I told her I don? T even have a user ID or password. So I said how do you know that I approved this transaction, there are ways of stealing my information and she said there is no way of that happening and that I should find out who is trying to steal my identity. I told her I wanted to talk to her supervisor and she said I could report it to the local authorities. Then she said she would have someone call me back. She said she would cancel my account. I received an email from them saying my account was cancelled and there was no confirmation number or name of any kind to validate the cancelation.
