This International Moving Co, based in Costa Rica came to my house to give me a quote... Not complicated mostly Rubbermaid Containers, 3 bicycles (2) in boxes (1) too big to box (Tandem) 3 pieces of furniture (small) and I Garment Box for a total of 86 items. All items we view able, packed and ready to go. I was given a quote of $2540.00 and several weeks later they came to take the goods. Several days after that they sent me (via email) a "revised quote" for 3750.00 (that a 37% increase).
We have been going back and for will not appreciable results. According to Federal Maritime Law, the maximum a quote can increase is 10%.
