Miscellaneous

Hello, I downloaded NetFlix to watch movies and all the movies were in Black and White, I contacted NetFlix and was told I needed to download an App. Called Silverline and this is owned by Microsoft and is a free download.

So I Googled Silverline and sure enough Microsoft showed up and I clicked on the Silverline link that showed me instructions how to download Silverline but there was no download link.

I got Microsoft's help chatline and told them my problem and they gave me a link for Omni Tech support, I clicked the link and an Omni teck asked me if he could take control of my computer to resolve my issues.

I asked him what issues did I have as I was only looking for a download link, and he vaguely said he needed to see my computer as to why I'm having this problem.

I gave him control and he downloaded 2 shortcut icons to my computer screen and ran two tests showing me I had loads of viruses and other problems.

Then he asked me for @299.00 to fix these problems and I told him to get out of my computer, it took me about 4 times telling him to leave and I got ruder each time.

He finally left but I still have these icons on my screen which opens every time I turn on my computer asking me to do a scan.

Microsoft is in league with this company as it was them that sent me there, but so far (it's only been one day) I don;t see any damage from dealing with them but I've had this sort of thing happen to me in the past only to have a lot more problems.
