Here's a new one... Just got 2 calls from very heavily accented people saying my computer was infected and they were ready to walk me through a virus scan. Could barely understand them or name of company. I have top of the line virus softwear and no alerts from that. I called them back and they knew who I was and my pc by my phone number, but said it was a random marketing call. I asked how it could be a 'random marketing call' if they said I was infected? Lots of stammering until I told them to get the f lost. So if someone calls and tells you that you have a virus, do not tell them anything! Fyi the company was called 'gooseberry tech' which a quick google search showed they are scammers 'working with google'. I just closed my g account because of this.
