Second chance offer led to wire transfer scam, money lost

I was bidding on an aerial lift on ebay's site. An item that was listed through www.bidadoo.com. I ended my bid as it was going for more than I wanted to spend. I received a second chance notice that the bid was offered to me due to problems with the winning bid not being able to pay for it. I was sent information on how to pay for it and was suggested that I pay with a wire transfer. I questioned this as I have always paid by using paypal. I clicked on ebays live chat line which there icon was on the same page as the notice that I received saying congratulations you have won the item.
I mentioned that I was concerned about this way of paying and was told that they (eBay) is acting as a third party and holds the money until I receive the item and approve it. I was told to go ahead as this was safe to do. I found out about a week later that ebay was scammed, my money was with drawned by scammer and I am out of the money. I filed a complaint with spoof. Ebay.com and haven't got anywhere with it. They finally contacted me and thanked me for sending the information so they could investigated this matter and stop it. I believe with the information I discovered and sent to both eBay and Bidadoo, I stopped this from going any farther for both companies. I hold eBay totally responsible and believe they should reimburse me for damages. I do believe that every thing I received was from eBay. I beleive if someone can commit fraud and invade ebay in every way and not catch it and the customer gets ripped off, they should be responsible
