I called looking for phone: support for my s office 2013. I had un-installed a 32 bit version and planned to install the 64 bit version. They claimed they were Microsoft authorized and would fix the problem. Once I let them connect they started snooping around in the Ms services files and telling my machine was really slow. Then ran some software showing errors and issues. They never addressed the reason for my call, but spent a lot of time trying to convince me to have my computer optimized and why no one but them could do a good job.
After it became clear that they never Intended to do anything other than to use scare tactics to fix a perfectly fine machine, I disconnected them and fixed the issue my self with reg edit.
Once removed the offending registry command I was able to run the Ms "fix it" software and install the 64 bit version.
