The following was sent to HP Support on-line...

Reference my printer psc 3200. Cannot remove software from my computer! Used uninstall in control panel, removed all directories 'hewlett packard', 'hp'. As a final effort i removed all hp references in the registry. Rebooted ok and all looks good (no printers installed), but when i try to reinstall from original cd, i get msg.- ' newer version installed already'. Only newer hp printer was b209 model, which i also removed. Why is it so difficult to remove your software once it's installed? I am very frustrated. Also - i paid $245 for this psc and do not like being asked to pay to fix a problem that is caused by a failure in hp's uninstall feature. I just paid over $100 to have it fixed by an authorized dealer. If you insist on me paying, i will donate the printer to my church and buy a kodak printer instead!
