Miscellaneous

In August I contacted what I though was Microsoft to resolve an issue. I was connected to V-tech and for $299.00 for 3 years they would keep my computer free of virus, malware, etc. I had an 877 number and called it about once a month. I was not happy with the service I had gotten the last serveral months. Every time they supposely cleaned the computer they changed settings, etc. And I would have to go back and adjust the settings on my computer. On March 20, I called the number and got someone who I swear - knew nothing about computers.in fact, I think I knew more than the tech did. Today, March 28, I called the number I had and it said it was no longer in service. This is because they had shutdown my printer and my off site backup and I wanted it restored. I called another number listed on there internet site and what I got this time was even worst that the one from the 20th of this month. As it turns out, I had to reinstall my printer, my carbonite and my e-mail account. Whatever you do DONOT have anything to do with this company. I am out about $220.00, but I guess it was worth the education.
