Miscellaneous

I was cold called by fastheal.net/liz web solutions claiming that microsoft had hired them to contact people with hacked computers and those that needed to renew their security licences. I let them verify my email address upon which they accessed my computer and attempted to sell me security renewals for between 129.00 and 259.00 and if i didn't they would shut down my computer and take my security licence away rendering my computer useless. They blanked out my screens and refused to stay on the line when i called microsoft. I was able to get them back on line and take over after they told me to pay them through the Bank of Baronda, at which point I was able to block their viewer but not before they managed to change my windows vista password and lock me out of my computer. Windows was able to access the computer and erase any viruses but couldn't reset or recover my passwords. The company then called me the following day to harass me and tell me my licence would be gone and i'd never get into my computer again. I am still working with microsoft and will have to contact an I. T person to solve the issue. The contact person's name is richard walter, info@fastheal.net, and his id number was 132626. He called from 416-915-3536 as well as several other long distance numbers.
