Another Example of Exemplary Customer Service at Von's (sic)

I just came back from another terrible experience at Von's in Palm Desert, California. They apparently do not have an employee lounge because all of the employees congregate at the check out stand and chat, while ignoring the customers. I put my groceries and Von's card on the conveyer belt while they kept laughing and talking. The person whose lane it was finally decided to check me out (that was the only lane open). She ran my items through the scanner and then asked me for my Von's card; I told her it was on the conveyer belt. She was obviously upset when I couldn't rattle off my Von's card number. She gave me an application and told me I'd have to apply for a new Von's card. Since I was having to fill out an application for them, I thought I'd fill out a review here. Or maybe I'll skip filling out the Von's card application and go elsewhere... But then I wouldn't get to pay extra for the rudeness and poor customer service.
