I joined in dec and only have been going since feb. I have tried to cancel in nov and dec (before the experation date) and they told me i had to wait and pay and extra $30 something dollars before i could cancel by the end of the month (which i had). Now they said it would expire and i should have no problems. January of they tried charging me the $20 monthly charge and i told them that my membership had already expired and i didnt ask to continue it and that i had stopped the subscription when it expired. The girl on the phone was very rude saying that my money could not be refunded, that it's all my fault that i didn't go into the building and directly cancel in person, and that i can only cancel in person and not by phone. This is the first person i had ever heard this from, especially from a fitness place. I have no car to be able to get there in from dec till now and i talked to the manager there and explained that i dont normally sign up for stuff like this and was given false information and she told me she would give me a, "courtesy cancellation" and had my money returned. I had froze my account just in case they tried to pull anything. That was back in Jan. It is now Feb. 9th and they just send me a thing in the mail saying i owe them $30!? Theyve been getting free money from me since feb and they tried to renew my supscription before even warning me, or telling me anything about it. When i first signed up, the girl rushed me through the form and was hardly given time to even read through. Very pushy staff and every employee told you something different. I have no way of getting there so idk why they just dont understand. I never usually say anything bad about any place but this place, not only will i never go back, but i will make sure all my freinds and family know about thier little schemes and if they continue to send me bogus bills through the mail, im going to file for harrassment.
