Refuses to take a cancellation

When I moved to Tennessee, I found that there was no Lifestyle Family Fitness here, so I called to cancel my membership.

I was informed that I needed to go in personally and cancel my membership. Well, I wasn't about to drive back to Florida and do that, so I contacted the person who signed me up and who told me, "You can cancel any time - that's the benefit of Lifestyle Family Fitness."

He sent me the following e-mail:

Good Afternoon Robert,
Yes you are right normally we do need a signed cancellation for your membership. Another option is contact our corp. Office and cancel over the phone with them. (1-800-881-8755 ext. 12). If you have already done so and feel that you are not getting the response you need, then we could fax you a copy of the cancellation and have you sign it and fax it back. If you have any questions please contact me at the club. Thank you.

So I did, and was informed that I would need to mail in a cancellation.

So I mailed in a cancellation, and was informed in March that they never received it. Not only do they want me to send in ANOTHER cancellation, they want to be paid for December - March.

I informed them that they'd be put on usacomplaints.com - they could care less. As you can see on here, they have many reports and they don't respond.

This is NOT a good place to go. They have a lot of equipment, but if they'll never let you cancel, you might as well go to a better gy
