Mortgage payment error not fixed, causing late fees and delinquency

Citi made a mistake on our mortgage payment in but even with solid proof from our bank statements and paperwork, will not fix the problem, which is leading to mounting late fees and a delinquency in our mortgage. 26 yrs. in our house, never missed a payment. Since our mortgage was sold 5 yrs. ago, we've had nothing but problems. I'm talking for hundreds of people with the same or similar problems with citi bank. I've read so many horror stories on citi's complaint list on the computer yesterday, I was in shock. This company is setting up good people and forcing them into eventually losing there homes and life savings, plus wrecking there credit. It would not take long, if you check them out, to see what there up to. Please help.
