Fourteen months ago we purchased one of this company's water heaters through a local hardware store. Cost - $414.00. Had it installed by a certified plumber, also local, as per the instruction, use, and care manual. Had trouble with it ever since day one. His cost plus all the extra expenses for having to have him come back several times has amounted to more than half of the original purchase price. Contacting the company's trouble shooting phone number only yielded tips, hints and advise to solve the problem/problems. No hands on physical action on their part. Their so called limited warranty interprets that once you've bought one of their heaters you're stuck with the expense of having it repaired, cost of parts, labor, etc. If we'd read this warranty before purchasing it, we would NOT have bought it. The plumber followed all the instructions to the letter regarding proper installation, etc. But it still doesn't/won't work right. It has to be relit on a daily basis in order for us to have hot water for each days use. H e l p!!
