Literature & Books

Textbooks.com buyback plan is deceptive, uncertain, along with a ripoff.

I sent a book back for that guaranteed buyback cost.

The estimate creation day was 12/22/08 ensuring a specific amount. They record the guide and an expiration time. Subsequently under plan reminders on a single site, they state that "Publications should be obtained in thirty days for full-value", showing that so long as they get the publications within thirty days you will get the complete value of the offered cost.

I introduced the guide to advantages to be delivered back, and my monitoring does not display it had been acquired in the area I slipped it down at, but from another town and provides a romantic date more out than after I slipped it at my local advantages. Subsequently, from there, it required a couple of days to obtain back again to Textbooks.com. Neither advantages or Textbooks.com understand the day it had been fallen down in my own city in the nearby advantages shop, (I named my local advantages store to request when they had an archive plus they do not), but Textbooks.com is certainly going from the day it had been delivered to another area after which the day they'd it within their factory.

After I called Textbooks.com, the one who responded explained HE understood the plan and appreciated exactly what the site stated (obviously he'd, he performs there). He explained that it's on the site whenever you purchase the publications and because he recalls that, everybody else must six months after purchasing a guide... He contended that expiration indicates it ends and I ought to have determined myself that "Publications should be obtained in thirty days for full-value" applies simply to publications that are not certain buyback although there's nothing showing that about the estimate development site or other things. What else would you pass however the estimate development site using the buyback packing checklist onto it?

Their buyback and estimate plan is very uncertain, plus they don't use the client whatsoever. It's this is the clientis problem & issue that their guidelines are deceptive and complicated, plus they do not provide an inch. The man did not care that I told them we'd no further conduct business together until they recognized their estimate due to the deceptive text which may create (I am sure way too many) clients skip the contract to obtain complete buyback. I think about this scam - like baitandswitch. The whole cause we did not return the guide to my childis school was since Textbooks.com provided more cash-back compared to college. We wound up dropping significantly more than the college might have provided us by trustworthy Textbooks.com.

Incidentally, should you pass exactly what the consultant stated rather than the thirty days plan, this means they offered me seven days (including weekends, Holiday and New Years vacations) to obtain the guide BACK TO their factory... They attempt to ensure it is as challenging as you can along with a near inability for that client to obtain it for them promptly, particularly since 2 holidays were inside, in addition to weekends.
