Waste management - no service for two weeks but i still have to pay?!?!?

Waste Management did NOT pick up for TWO WEEKS and when I called in they refuse to credit the two weeks that I didn't receive service. How is this possible? No service and I still have to pay? This is an amazingly horrible company. Worse part is, they have a monopoly and NO ONE else will pick up my garbage. WM knows this and they feel they can mistreat their customers without consequences.
