MimsGlobal
Ripoff Internet

Internet & Web

Below is the response I received when asking Careebuilder about the legitimacy of MimsGlobal.

On 10/20 you posed a question to CareerBuilder.com which was noted as inquiry 93182. The question you posed and our response are listed below.

Your Question, Comment or Feedback:
I received an unsolicited E-mail from MimsGlobal
inviting me for an online interview. Needless to
say it wasn't an interview but a ploy to get me to
pay to become part of an MLM. Can this actually be
legitimate and why is Careerbuilder allowing this
sort of thing? Out of all the job sites,
Careerbuilder seems to me the one that has all of
those "work from home" opportunities that are
bogus, why is that?

Response:

Dear Jon:
Thank you for contacting Careerbuilder. We appreciate you bringing such matter to our attention. The letter you received is from a group that is running a known scam on websites across the United States.
This scam is being investigated by the FBI and most state police departments. You are one step ahead of most people who receive such inquiry by reporting it to us first. Please take the following steps to further resolve this issue.

1. Do not give out any personal information to this or any company that request it. We ask our employers not to ask for such information and any legitimate company would not do so until you meet with them for an interview.

2. CONTACT YOUR LOCAL POLICE STATION AND BANK if you have already provided such information. Provide them with a copy of the email and any other information you may have received from the company.

3. FORWARD A COPY OF THE EMAIL to fuzz@careerbuilder.com. We have an investigative team that is working hard to keep companies like these from victimizing our customers.
