Briefly, we bought tickets to see Sara Evans in concert in Columbus, Ohio on June 4th of this year. The concert was at night, and we live in Michigan, so we got a hotel through Priceline.

Unfortunately, the concert was cancelled. We contaced Priceline and the hotel as soon as we learned of the concert cancellation. Priceline refuses to refund the money for a room we could not use due to circumstances BEYOND OUR CONTROL.

We also contacted the person who notified us about the concert cancellation and he talked to the hotel managers in the Columbus area. He explained the situation to them and told us that the area hotels were refunding the money in this situation. He told us that Priceline does not want any "black marks" on their record, so he thought our money would be refunded when they got the concert information status from them.

A Priceline representative contacted us some time after we phoned with our dilemma, and the company doesn't plan to refund our money. We really think their business practice is unfair regarding this unusual situation and that we were charged for services not rendered.
