One Great Family
Unauthorized Charge - No Refunds

Internet & Web

I signed up for one year with One Great Family and found their product to be faulty. I am trying to track my family tree - and One Great Family added fraudulent "finds" to my family tree and other random information.

I stopped using the service after just a few months of annoyance and frustration.

Then, I checked my credit card statement and found a $79 charge! So I called them and asked for cancellation (within less than a week of finding the charge). The agreed to cancel as of 07/29 - a full year longer!

I asked for immediate cancellation and a refund.

I received a very terse message that I had not cancelled before the charge - so too bad.

I feel this is very unethical. Their charge exceeded my credit card limit as well - so they have damaged me more than just financially.

Very unprofessional. I wish I had checked this site before I signed up last year - or looked at the Better Business Bureau record - which is equally dismal.
