Refuse to refund my money

I placed an order with Fingerhut.com 3/30 using my fiance's checking account so I would not have interest fees on the purchase. A few days later I checked status and it said order pending while checking account is verified.

On 4/7 I cancelled the order and the next day I checked the checking account and Fingerhut had deducted the amount for the purchase on 3/31.

When I called them on 4/8 to ask for a refund they told me to give it 15 days. After the 15 days I called them to find out where was the refund and they said they did not deduct the funds because the item was not shipped and that is the only time they deduct funds. I told them the bank statement reflects a debit from my fiance's account the next day after order was placed and they told me I had to mail in his bank statement. I told them I was not authorized to send someone else's personal information to them and they told me that was the only way to prove they took the money.

5/13 I emailed customerservice@fingerhut.com and explained the situation and told them to check with their accounting department to verify they took the money and no product was shipped. They replied with an apology for the misinformation and that a refund check would be issued within 30 days.

6/20 I called to find out the status of the check and was told it take 30 to 45 business days to get a refund, but they will put in another request for the refund.

6/21 I emailed them and they told me to give the check 45 days to be received.
