Three Month Old Laptop Died and Expedited Shipping Fee Charged

3 months to the day, that I purchased my HP laptop, the computer wouldn't turn on. I called tech support and they told me to send it to them. They said it would take 2 weeks to return unless I paid $16 to expedite the shipping. I told them that it was their quality control issue and my computer should be expedited at no additional cost. They gave me the proverbial F-you and charged me the fee anyway. Because I choose to expedite the shipping they told me I would have my computer by January 27th. I got a call on the 25th saying that I shouldn't expect my computer back until February 8th! When I called back to tell them that this was unacceptable, I was told that HP found NOTHING wrong with the computer but still has the return shipping scheduled for feb 8th. The customer service/tech service reps said the only thing they can do on my behalf is put in a request to ship sooner. It's been 24 hours later and I still can't get confirmation that my computer will be shipped out immediately. My computer is being held hostage, I've bee shaken down for expedited shipping for THEIR INFERIOR product, and I can't speak with anybody that can fix this problem. I an unemployed and am unable to apply for jobs (I only have an iPod touch) and I'm snowed in. I can only pray that I'm not missing out on job opportunities. I will never buy an HP or compact product again!!!
