Dell's expedited shipping promise is not to be believed

On 3/21 I bought a computer online at Dell. The computer is for my granddaughter who just started college. I brought from Dell, rather than using another online company that I have used in the past, because my son stated that Dell ships promptly, and, if I pay to have the shipping expedited, I should have no problem getting the computer within 3/4 days. The computer has still not been shipped (3/26). I contacted Dell and was told I "should' have the computer around 4/4. This is unacceptable business practice! The extra money I paid to have the shipping expedited is supposed to be removed from the cost, but that does not help my granddaughter who needed the computer this week!

Based on the poor service I have received in just getting the product shipped to me in a timely manner, I hope I have no technical difficulties for which I have to contact Dell. I have little confidence that any help will be available. I will go back to my previous company when I order another computer online, and I am letting anyone I know who is looking to purchase a computer online to NEVER buy direct from Dell.
