Gateway registration process ripoff. Not the nicest people

After 7 months, I still have be unable to get Gateway to register 2 items I bought in my name so that I can get parts for them. I have fought with them for over 6 months now. I was just told today 11-25-01 that it was not possible because I did not buy it from them. Then they told me that there would be a fee for getting the registration done. When I asked how much, they told me that they did not have a price for that.
When I asked for the CEO name and number, they gave me the name but refused to give me a number or email address. When I ask if a GATEWAY COUNTRY store could fix the problem, they said no. When I ask for the supervisors last name, it was refused me. How am I supposed to get this resolved with no information? This is not good business practice. Now I see why GATEWAY is about to fold as a company. They do not have the customer service they advertise. I do not think that they ever will.
I hope that no one else has to deal with GATEWAY. They are not the nicest people. I know that it is not that hard to change the registration information on a system, if the serial number and a client ID is given.
