Buyer Beware of Misleading Ads

I found what I thought was a terrific price on a computer. The picture was at the top of the page and there followed several pages of description. The problem was that the description didn't apply to the item being sold. For example:

"Your computer comes ready to use." Not true. Mine had no operating system installed. When I complained I was told that it would cost another $107 and I would have to pay shipping both ways.

"Youll get through hours of work before you need to recharge the Aspire One 531h battery" The truth is that the battery was old and lasted only minutes—not hours. They would like to sell me a battery.

"New Product Alert! Just in! We have received This Model With Microsoft Windows 7 HP Full Version Pack." I was excited and bought the computer but it arrived without Windows 7. I was told I could send it back and pay for an upgrade. The man said I should have checked the box and discovered that this applied to another page with another Aspire computer costing more.

The computer came with no manual or instructions. I suppose they would sell such and I could pay shipping. I could go on and on for there were pages of print under a picture of the computer I thought they were describing. I would have saved many dollars had I gone to a local store and bought a new computer. Beware of this company's misleading way of doing business.
